Table Setting Project

This week my big project for my "Event planning and Display" class was due. The Theme was Autumn Affair. I chose to do a Oakland Raiders Formal Event. Here are some of the pictures of how it turned out. I had a blast, and learned so much at the same time. All of the Flowers came from Orange County Wholesale. The total bill was $105.67. My creative designing let me get 4 arrangement out of the flower. There was left over Tea Leaves, White Poms, and a few mini Carnations.

Weekend Birthday Cakes

So I had 3 birthdays over the weekend. My Godfather Steve Raroha, his girlfriend Barbara, and my aunt Bonnie. I decided to make the girls flower cakes. I learned how to make those 3 weeks ago in my flower class at Golden West Community College. I went to Trader Joe's and purchased flowers. I had never purchased flowers there for an arrangement before, but since it was 9AM on Sunday, and this was a last minutes project. I spent $ 30 on all the flowers.

1 bunch pink spray roses
1 bunch purple spray roses
1 bunch white mums
2 bunches purple mums
1 bunch pink Gerbera's

I made a total of 6 arrangements. 2 cakes, 2 small arrangements, 1 bud vase with 4 Gerbera's, and 1 small hand tied bouquet that I put in a vase. It took my about 1 hour to complete all of them. I was trying to see how fast I could go with out compromising the style and composition.

Halloween

So Halloween was a blast. I made some new Crazyjamiez Hair falls in a different style. I danced my ass off all night and had no problems. They consist of 2 pieces. One I put on first facing forward, then I put the other one on backwards and flipped it over. I love the idea. I also made this really cute skirt for my friend. All I did was go find a skirt, with elastic, at the Thrift store that fit her. I cut and hemed it. Then sewed fringe in it. It worked out great. I also made new Boot covers. Super easy. I cut out 4 triangles, sewed 2 of them together, the put elastic around the top.

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween weekend.
